Property insurance
Insurance coverage for sea and river craft (excluding sailboats)
The insurance of ships includes first of all kasko (hull) insurance, insurance of the technical and equipment and instruments which are firmly attached to the hull of the boat and liability insurance for the damage caused by the operation of a vessel. The insurer will provide the replacement for incidental loss or damage of insured vessels caused by nautical accidents or acts of God. Rescue efforts are also covered, as are contributions towards a general average and expenses for removing a wreck and responsible damages. It is also possible to add insurance for cargo and liability for ecological damages.
